The Cartographer Series:
(Science Fiction (SF), Fiction and Fantasy (FF), Thriller, Adult)
Quill (The Cartographer #1) by A.C. Cobble:
The fate of empire is to crumble from within.

A heinous murder in a small village reveals a terrible truth. Sorcery, once thought dead in Enhover, is not. Evidence of an occult ritual and human sacrifice proves that dark power has been called upon again. Twisting threads of clues lead across the known world to the end of a vast empire, and then, the trail returns home.

Duke Oliver Wellesley, son of the king, cartographer, and adventurer, has better things to do than investigate a murder in a sleepy fishing hamlet. For Crown and Company, though, he goes where he’s told. As the investigation leads to deeper and darker places, he’ll be forced to confront the horrific spectres rising from the shadows of his past. When faced with the truth, will he sacrifice what is necessary to survive?

Benjamin Ashwood Series:
(Epic Fantasy, Magic, Adventure, Action, YA)

Benjamin Ashwood (Benjamin Ashwood #1) by A.C. Cobble:
Epic Fantasy at its best. This classic swords and sorcery tale is inspired by Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time and Tolkien's The Hobbit. If you liked them, you will love Benjamin Ashwood.

Life is simple in Ben’s small town until an attack brings the arrival of exciting strangers straight out of a story. Before Ben understands what is happening, he embarks on a dangerous journey to help his friends. A mage, demons, thieves and assassins are just a few of the perils he will face while trying to make it to safety.

But things aren’t always what they seem and safety is a fragile concept when the destructive behaviors of the powerful are exercised unchecked. In Ben's world - like our own - political, economic and military might create a system to keep the elite in power at the expense of the common man. As the series unfolds and Ben's knowledge and skill grows, he will have to decide if he wants to live within the system, flee from it or break it.

PN - 1024/1 | Kingslayer (Kingslayer #1) by Honor Raconteur

He had known this day would come. No man could escape the entire might of the Sovran forever. He just found it humorous that it was an enemy of the Sovran that had caught him instead.

Bound, kneeling before a queen whom he had hounded for a straight year, he should have been anxious. Or at least a little worried. Instead, a strange sense of relief filled him. It was over. His mad escape from Brindisi’s justice was over.

“That is a very calm expression on your face, General Darius Bresalier,” she observed. Her tone was idle, but her eyes were as sharp as a hawk’s. “Are you not worried?”

“I knew what the punishment would be, Your Most High Majesty,” he answered respectfully. “I have had a year to resign myself to my fate. I cannot complain.”

She gave a low, musical hum of approval. “Well said. I have heard many reports on what you did but never once did I believe I could have the full tale.” She leaned forward, causing the silk pillows behind her to slide in every direction. “Kingslayer, tell me. Why did you kill your king?”

PN - 1024/2 | Sovran at War (Kingslayer #2) by Honor Raconteur

“What does Baros say?” Amalah asked in a hushed tone.
“He’s asking for my help.”
Amalah’s dark brows shot straight into her hairline. “Your help? You’re wanted by the entire Sovran, how can you possibly help him?”

“He says here that he’s wrangled a full pardon for me so that I can enter, but he needs my help.” Darius stared down at the letter, blindly, as everything he had heard in the past year coalesced into patterns all at once. “Amalah. I told you that because Niotan wrested free of the Sovran, avoided being conquered, that Baros would lose control slowly of the other countries.”

“Yes, so you did. Is that happening now? Is that what he wants you to stop?”

“No. Something worse than that. I should have anticipated this, but—” he swallowed the words down because in truth, he had actively not thought about war much in the past year. “The Roran barbarians were the first to break free of the Sovran after last year. And now it seems they’ve pulled together, at least most of the clans, perhaps all, and they’re threatening the northern countries. Baros has battled them to a standstill for now, but he can’t find a way to force them back into their territories. If he doesn’t do it soon, then they’ll overrun him. They’ll overrun the Sovran.”

PN - 1011/1 | Deepwoods (Deepwoods Saga #1) by Honor Raconteur

Siobhan Maley is the Guildmaster of Deepwoods, a small guild of ten people that serves the four continents as travelling escorts. She has no ambitions for a larger guild, either, as keeping track of those ten people is more than enough work for her. As long as she can make some money and keep Wolf and Tran from accidentally destroying any buildings, it was a good day.

But Siobhan’s peaceful days take an abrupt turn when the Guildmaster of the city sends her out on a mission to go and rescue his missing daughter, Lirah Darrens. Siobhan sets out, expecting to find that Lirah was either ambushed by bandits and slain or that she was simply lost somehow along the treacherous open road.

What she finds is much, much worse. The truth behind Lirah Darren’s disappearance is nothing that anyone expected. The more that she learns, the less sense it all makes.

PN - 1011/2 | Blackstone (Deepwoods Saga #2) by Honor Raconteur

“Well, let’s have it. Where do you think we should go?”

“Saoleord.”

Siobhan and Conli both froze. Saoleord? The city that no one ever visited and only natives could find? “Why?” Conli asked slowly, blue eyes studying Fei’s face.

Fei seemed to take a breath before admitting quietly, “Because I think we’ll need help very soon.”

“Fei, I’m lost. Why would you want to go home?”

“I have seen this pattern before. The last time that one country was pushed into an economical depression by another country, it led to war.”

Siobhan’s blood froze. “War?

“Can a war even be possible?” Conli objected. “A skirmish I can see, one guild or one city attacking another is very possible. But to have a war, an actual war as you mean it, you’d have to get several main guilds to cooperate enough to fight in a united front. We can barely get them to agree on trade agreements.”

Fei shook his head, mouth set in a grim line. “Orin is desperate. They will band together to pillage and loot, if nothing else. I tell you, the history that I learned showed this exact set of events happening over and over again.”
